The Foundation is guided by individuals committed to carrying forward its values of service, integrity, compassion and community leadership.
Pandit Chintamani Sharma was a freedom fighter, educator, social reformer and people's leader whose life embodied courage, simplicity, truth and selfless service. Born in 1912 in Nisukhra, Bulandshahr, he joined India's freedom movement, followed Mahatma Gandhi's principles and devoted himself to the welfare of the common people.
Panditji remained devoted to public welfare until his final days, leaving behind a legacy of service, compassion, education and nation-building.

Throughout his life, he served in numerous governmental, political, social and philanthropic organisations, including the Delhi Municipal Corporation, Anti-Drugs Committee, Freedom Fighters Committee and Debt Conciliation Board of the Delhi High Court.
Commitment to Society
Social Reform & Relief WorkIn 1952, he was elected from Shahdara and became a member of the first Delhi Legislative Assembly. He worked on essential issues including floods, electricity, water and living conditions, while strongly believing that people should understand both their fundamental rights and responsibilities.
His life continues to inspire the Chintamani Foundation's commitment to service, dignity, self-reliance, equality and stronger communities—carrying forward a legacy.
